Setting Goals
Goals are things you want to pursue. You might need support from the NDIS and other supports and services to help you pursue them.
What are good Goals?
Your goals might include:
Building your skills and becoming more independent.
Working or studying now or in the future.
Engaging in social and recreational activities now or in the future.
Building friendships or connecting with your family.
Goals can Help you:
Know You
Help you think about what your strengths are and how you can use them.
Get Motivated
Give you motivation to try different things and build your independence.
Work Towards Something
Find something to work towards where you can measure and get encouraged by your progress.

How far you pursue your goals is up to you. You might want to try a small step. Or you might want to aim for big changes and work towards something really challenging. Both are OK.
We can help you to identify, prepare and record your goals in your own words. We can help you to choose the right words for your goals if you ask us if you have difficulty describing your goals.
Your goals can be big or they can be lots of smaller things you want to pursue. We can assess your disability support needs and help you set, work towards, and attain your goals.
